Commercial Story: Campbell University Tartan Event
One of the many things that the pandemic has taken from students is a typical freshman orientation experience when starting college. At the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year, Campbell created ways for freshman students to arrive to campus ahead of upperclassmen in order to have their own orientation and time to get to know each other… and that is all found through the Campbell Tartan Experience. It brought back so many memories for me to feel the energy and nerves in the room radiating off these brand new college kids. I happened to know two incoming freshman myself, so it was fun to not only remember my first days at Campbell, but to also connect with these two that I care about so much as they begin their journey there.
Wedding Story: Becky and Ralph
Becky and Ralph had their dream wedding planned for Spring of 2020.... and we all know what happened next. These two scrambled and pulled together a sweet, intimate ceremony in their yard with just a few friends and family, knowing all the while that they still wanted a big celebration when things were safer.
Well they waited and waited, and finally in September of 2021, their big party happened!
Commercial Story: Pullen Memorial Baptist Church Website
Pullen Memorial Baptist is a church that I have long respected. Baptist News Global just did a piece on this church and how it’s been 30 years since its February 1992 action to affirm and perform same-sex blessings. The ways this church has fought for social justice over the years is so admirable and their current staff is just phenomenal.
They were working on a website update and reached out to me to come take some photos of their beautiful stained glass and indoor labyrinth to use throughout the site design…
Family Story: Fall Minis in Downtown Raleigh
It’s become quite the tradition for many of you to join us for our fall mini sessions each year. This was the year a space downtown finally met our criteria and you all let us know how excited you were about it by solidly booking out that day first! And then, you let us know if you wanted a spot and didn’t get one, so we added a whole other day of minis downtown, that also filled up. This day was SO FUN doing minis downtown with you all. If you’ve been following along for more than a couple of years, you’re going to see that all of these families join us annually except one new family to join us. We love this time with y’all each fall!
Family Story: Ethridge Family 80th Birthday
It's always fun to work with our commercial clients when they are in need of personal photos. You may recognize Brian as one of our friends at Leadership North Carolina, one of our favorite commercial clients! He reached out to have family pictures made at his father's 80th birthday dinner at the Angus Barn. Always a classic Raleigh choice for an important life celebration dinner.
Wedding Story: Mary Catherine and Zach
Y’ALL … there is just so much sweetness in these images of this backyard wedding so brace yourself for all the feels!
I first met Mary Catherine when shooting headshots for Three Oaks Behavioral, so I was thrilled when she reached out about her and Zach's wedding.
Can’t you just see how much these two adore each other in every picture?? It’s BEAUTIFUL! And I loved getting to capture their first moments as newlyweds around town in some of their favorite places.
This day was just pure, absolute sweetness!!
