I really enjoyed photographing the team over at Sequence in Morrisville! After being out of office buildings for so many months due to the pandemic, it was wonderful to be back at it with this group! They needed refreshed headshots, and they wanted to keep it simple with a white background. I was able to shoot 19 people over two sessions…

It’s hard to know how older siblings of a newborn baby will do in the family portion of a newborn shoot… let me tell you, this big sister and big brother were so stinkin’ excited to be photographed with the baby and the excitement never let up! Can you tell?! They were excited to hold Baby W, read him books, each get to hang out with him in their rooms... the cutest. They were so full of ideas to participate in the shoot. After the very first set where I had all the kids snuggled in a chair, I showed this mama one picture of her kids all together and she started crying, saying that that was it! That's all she needed! The shoot could end there!

But it didn’t…

It’s always an honor to watch your families grow from behind our cameras and we have been part of the Gibson family for a while. We have photographed their engagement, bridal shoot, wedding, anniversaries, graduations, first maternity, and family shoots. It's only fitting that now we are invited into their second maternity shoot. Mom and dad’s humor shown through in the popular reference to The Office inside joke on the announcement shirt and onesie…

I found myself sharing with a lot of people this past winter that I was slower to answer emails in part because of my seasonal depression. Anyone else get the winter blues? It was real for me this year and I am so thankful that I have tools in my tool box to help walk me through those kinds of mental health seasons...

Never underestimate what an easy yet special gift it is to give your loved ones a photoshoot all together! Becca and I have taken turns photographing different parts of this family over the years, so it was really cool to see the group all together for one big photoshoot. Especially for grandparents, you know they want pictures of their kids and grandkids. It really is an easy gift for any occasion.

No matter where this branch of the Fuller family has lived, they always find a way to work in a family shoot with me when they are visiting family in NC. Their hope is that they will make their way back here very soon! While I have known Tripp since high school, as a family, they were some of my first SP clients so they are truly OG around here on a lot of levels…
