Teagan and I had so much fun dreaming together about this artist venture. I photographed Teagan years ago with his family and through Facebook saw that he had become quite the accomplished dancer. He is heading off soon to college for dance, and I just had this feeling that we needed to collaborate. I love photographing dancers. It's incredible to me the shapes they can create with their bodies, and the way they are so in tune with all their bodies are capable of.

We had talked ahead of time about what kind of location he was thinking about, what kind of outfits might work, and if there were any important props he wanted to incorporate….

This was Ashley’s first time getting to photograph these friends of friends of hers. You might not be able to tell in the photos, but y’all… Their morning shoot was COLD! There was thick, icy frost on the ground, but that did not slow these big brothers down from exploring all over the park. They stayed warm running around looking for wildlife in between being wrangled for family pictures with their precious baby sister and their awesome mom and dad.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how this shoot turned out, and you will, too! Sara Beth is a longtime friend and pastor who I deeply respect - so when they asked me capture these moments for them, I WAS THRILLED!!!

Sara Beth and Jake were excited to be back on the UNC campus for their engagement shoot since this is the place they first met. These lovebirds met at Carolina through their campus ministry like 13 years ago (Sara Beth had a HUGE crush)….

When I say this has been a long time comin’, that is absolutely no exaggeration whatsoever. We have been working towards this for a long time and we are proud to be releasing this new home base for our work out into the world!

It is more clear to me now than ever that what we bring to the table as photographers is our passion for story telling. Hello, it’s in the name. We want to go beyond the question of “can they take a good picture” to “will they be able to translate who we are into a photograph”. Can you feel our heart and purpose on these freshly designed pages?

The last time you saw the Kennedy family the kiddos were so little, and now they’re practically all grown up! We LOVED that first family shoot of theirs — their outfit choices and how all in they were. So good! So, Ashley was excited to hear from them when they wanted to do a back-to-back family and senior session with the Van Fleteren family. You see, the two moms are besties… So, we knew this would be a fun way to approach these two family shoots…
